A very entertaining quiz! I got No. 3, and since I'm reading Dracula, I recognized Stoker's style immediately in No. 4, and I knew Robert Burns had to be the author of the Halloween poem. I didn't know the rest, but all were good tidbits.

I recognized the style of #2 so guessed the author - Scotch gittery, indeed! Hmmph! And I guessed #3 correctly.
An interesting quiz Ms. Ferret - thank you for your efforts! Oh, and thanks for your (unusually) witty comments, Wottie. You actually put some effort in on this one!
P.S. I notice you've gone to the large print version of the Quiz - did you misplace your reading glasses again? You really should get in the habit of keeping them by the glass with your teeth.

Yes, I noticed that .... I have no idea what happened. I'll have to check the HTML (much of which goes back fifteen years). Some piece of code has probably gone out of date. If it's back to normal next time (whenever next time is), you'll know that I found it, you whining bastard. I DON'T GET PAID FOR THIS, YOU KNOW! Typical, typical .... What a deliciously creepy quiz. Got 3 and 9 (a favourite since I first read it here on the Forum a few years ago), and author of 2, not that I'm proud of that one but I did go to school in his home town for 4 years. Fanx, Ferret!
Spent an hour this evening wrapping mini oranges, chocolates and dried apricots in orange paper with gold ribbon, to hand out to the politer few of the children who'll besiege our door tomorrow night. |

| Well done.... it was not an easy quiz, due to the difficulty of the subject...(there's not a lot written about Halloween, as such... most of the material I found was about All Souls Night...) |

| Well done... I simply cut out the "No trick or treat here. Thank you" from the local paper to be affixed to the door tomorrow (if it was just children I would buy some sweeties and hand them out, but it's the stroppy teen age boys who ask for money I do not wish to encourage) |
