Hi everyone - here's a tough one for you! Approximately 10-20 years ago I read a book that was set in Holland. If memory serves it concerned a house, a method for creating pictures (and thereby etchings/prints) - the house was next to a canal and there was another house on the other side of the canal where an old person lived (I think an old lady). There was some sort of chase at the end and (maybe) an explosion. Think the main character was female. Sorry the info is so threadbare but it was a long time ago. Thanks in anticipaion. |

Thanks but no - I, like many others seeking titles, could kick myself for not having taken more care in noting what it was I was reading. I've tried hard to remember other details - the only other (vague) memory is that the plot involved a device which projected images enabling the artist to produce an essentially photographic image of the subject. Think I was living in Hobart, Tasmania when I read it. Thanks again. Kev |

Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou My first searches were for a House In Holland, then House In Amsterdam so I guess my gut feeling about 'House' being in the title were on the mark. I look forward to readin this again and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. |

You're very welcome, and I'm glad I could help. Actually that book wasn't really my thing, but you can't win'em all. Jamuna |
