Hi Folks.
A long time ago (when I was avoiding some classes in school, that makes it about 30 years ago) I came across a couple of sci-fi books in the school library. I loved them but couldn't borrow them as we were not allowed to borrow fiction books (hence my hiding in the library, no one else went in there and it was the last place a teacher expected to find you. Anyway, to the books.
They were about a team of people investigatine what I vaguely remember as a dyson sphere. It was an alien construction but there was no direct alien involvement in the stories. I remember communication difficulties between the team and earth. All I know for certain is that it was not the 'Ringworld' series.
All suggestions are appreciated. |

| Maybe Bob Shaw's 'Orbitsville' books? Do you remember any other details, even apparently-useless ones? Rocambole

| I am an illustrator who painted a cover for a book called,ORBITSVILLE by Bob Shaw for ACE books.I don't remember the story line but there was a large planet size structure that had only one opening in it to enter the planet. You lived on the inside of the planet's surface instead of the outside. |

| Did this involve a team of people who were wiped out, with only one of their race remaining? Soudns like it might be what U'm thinking off, but the exact title is tugging my brain. |
